Now more than ever we feel the need to promote worldwide the marvelous resource that our island offers us by experimenting with new uses for marble. From architecture to interior design, in fact, marble is an extremely versatile material and adapts to the latest furnishing trends. Hence the birth of Sardegna Marmi Design, which since 2008 has been devoted to a different interpretation of natural stone inspired by new design movements. Among its most important projects is the first and only marble bench with a reclinable backrest, created by world-famous designer Denis Santachiara. A dynamic object-sculpture that subverts the stereotypes associated with stone and demonstrates its great versatility.
